Fez Ville Nouvelle
Fez Ville Nouvelle
The modern, utilitarian section of Fez was built in 1916 by the French. There is little of historical interest here but the centre is fairly attractive with several good shops and restaurants. The Ville Nouvelle’s most important streets are Avenue Hassan II, split by a row of palm trees and punctuated by fountains, and Boulevard Mohammed V; they intersect at the town centre, Place de Florence.
